MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 3, 2001--Net Perceptions,
Inc., (Nasdaq:NETP) a leading marketing and merchandising software
company, today announced that John Kennedy, chief financial officer of
RSA Security Inc., has joined Net Perceptions, Inc. as a member of the
company's board of directors, effective April 2, 2001. Kennedy will
fill the position previously held by Doug Burgum, Great Plains
chairman and CEO, who is leaving his director position due to
increased responsibilities created by his company's recent acquisition
by Microsoft.

was for a two-year term," said Burgum. "I've stayed on because it has

Burgum's position is being filled by Kennedy, who has served as
chief financial officer of RSA Security, Inc. since August 1999.
Kennedy has more than a decade of experience directing financial as
well as merger and acquisition strategy for technology companies.
