Net Perceptions Speeds Toward Personalization Summit With Honors From Leading Technology Publications

MINNEAPOLIS, March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- With Personalization Summit 2000 just one week away, Net Perceptions, Inc. (Nasdaq: NETP) today announced that it has been selected by Forbes ASAP as one of the best-managed, fastest-growing technology companies in the world. Upside Magazine also chose Net Perceptions as an "E-Business Winner" in the Platform & Tools category of its "E-Business 150" list published this month.

Forbes ASAP's first "Ramp Champs" list ( http://www.forbes.com/asap/00/0403/84.htm ), compiled by the leading technology business magazine after surveying 200 analysts, recognizes the 20 technology, telecommunications and biotechnology companies most likely to continue their success in the future. Net Perceptions, which ranked No. 12 on the list, was cited for its innovative software, large customer base, strong financial performance and predicted revenue growth. "The number of households shopping online could grow to 49.4 million by 2004," the magazine said, "and technology like Net Perceptions' could increase the cross-sell rate to those buyers by 20 to 25 percent."

Upside Magazine's "E-Business Winners" list ( http://www.upside.com/texis/mvm/ebiz/story?id=38a1f2d20 ), based on rankings by The Yankee Group, predicts what the future could hold for today's technology leaders in the areas of innovation, market share, overseas strength, alliances and management. The publication recognized Net Perceptions for its strong potential in market share and growth as well as the company's creation of an industry speakers' corner, personalization.com. "Personalization is hot, and perhaps no name has been more synonymous with the concept than Net Perceptions," Upside editors wrote. "Through software, consulting and conference fees, no one stands to gain more in the sector than Net Perceptions."

"It's quite satisfying to see the momentum building behind the personalization movement," said Steven Snyder, Net Perceptions president and CEO. "In ever increasing numbers, businesses are recognizing the bottom-line impact that personalization can have throughout their organization, whether in call centers, e-mail, Internets or within their intranets, driving new levels of information management."
