Net Perceptions Appoints Customer Solutions Officer

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 3, 2000--

Rike Harrison, Former Sterling Software Executive,

joins Net Perceptions

Net Perceptions, Inc. (Nasdaq:NETP), a leader in realtime personalization and customer-focused analytics solutions, today announced that Rike Harrison has joined the company as senior vice president of Customer Solutions. In this capacity, Ms. Harrison will bring a dedicated senior executive resource to bear in assuring Net Perceptions' customers continue to enjoy the most efficient software installations and total satisfaction possible.

Most recently, Ms. Harrison was senior vice president for the Business Intelligence Division of Sterling Software and led a 100-person professional service organization. She began her career at DEC, where she successfully built and managed teams of more than 100 people, holding management positions in national services delivery, marketing and services operations. As part of the DEC's Database Engineering Group, she was responsible for the design and delivery of services for the global market.

In 1993, Ms. Harrison joined Information Builders, where she led a professional service team in Atlanta with responsibility for the East Coast, growing this business more than 100%. In 1996, she joined IQ Software, which was acquired by Information Advantage and later Sterling Software, and built the company's services capability from its infancy to an organization that at her departure contributed more than 30% of the business intelligence division's revenue.

A native of Germany, Ms. Harrison received her master's degree in applied mathematics and computer science from the University of Cologne. She also holds an MBA from Georgia Southern University. Ms. Harrison received a scholarship from Rotary International, was nominated for "Who is Who for Business Women" in 1992, and has received numerous awards and recognitions.
